- WE had a male mastiff come into our yard years ago. I was standing on one side of my yard picking up toys while my three year old son was playing about 100 feet behind me. I turned around and to my horror, my son and the dog were standing nose to nose (the dog's nose was likely a little higher!).

- The lack of tolerance here is to expect everyone else to accept a lifestyle into a group that does not condone it. The church should not be expected to accept it nor should boyscouts. I wouldn't expect any group to change their rules to accept me and my beliefs.

- This happens in science as well, but we never question whether they are trying to manipulate society into believing things as fact when they are in fact just theories. Much of our natural world can not be "proven" by science, yet it's stated as fact all the time.

- Just because it's always been done doesn't mean that it was ever a good idea. There are a whole lot of things that parents now do to "get away" from their kids because they need a break that was never a good idea in the first place.

- I agree with those that say the mother should have applied the sunscreen. As a homeschool parent, I think the biggest problem with public schools are the parents who believe they should be able to drop their kids off at school and have someone else take care of everything.

- Didn't the replublican party force an apology and threaten his job? That seems like pretty swift action....not agreement with what he said. Sounds like most were as disgusted by what he said as all of the republican bashers on here. It really surprises that so many can be so one-party loyal.

- Scott 7251...I was so hoping to see someone post this. I homeschool my kids and get sick of hearing people assume that I do so because I dislike teachers or public school which is not the case.

- "leave well enough alone" I wonder if the people receiving the aide would feel that way? I also wonder if the people attacking the missionaries in these comments find easy to do so because it's a good excuse to sit comfortably back not doing anything!

- Girlscouts is an awesome organization for young girls. It takes a lot of people to make it work, so the break down of monies earned seems pretty reasonable. The troop is getting 20% +, and the cost to the organization is less than 20%.
